Wollongong-based photographer, Sue Dowling, has been honing her photography skills since 2014.

Following a cancer diagnosis in 2013, Sue took solace in walking and meditation, and combining the two with photography, discovered the perfect healing tool. Drawing on nature for inspiration, and challenging the boundaries of photography, Sue most notably includes some form of movement in her compositions, to create a sense of peace and calm and invite the viewer to create their own interpretation of the image.

Sue has participated in seven exhibitions. Her work has been seen in the “Through the lens”, “A combined end-of-year exhibition”, “16 days”, “Wander Wollongong”, “Perception”, “Miscellaneous”, and “Twenty-five In the Landscape” exhibitions. Sue completed a Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging at Wollongong West TAFE 2023.
