The custom framing process
The custom framing process can be an overwhelming and confusing one, with so many options and variables it can be difficult to know where to begin. That’s where we come in! When you visit our show room, one of our team will help you choose the right frame and ensure you leave with a beautifully crafted piece to treasure for years to come. Here’s a snapshot of how it works.
01/ Choose Your MattingBegin your custom framing journey by selecting the perfect matting. With hundreds of colours available, our experts will guide you in choosing the ideal complement to your artwork. Matting not only enhances the visual appeal of your piece, by creating "breathing room," but also serves a vital preservation function by preventing direct contact between the artwork and the glass.
02/ Choose Your FrameIt’s now time to move on to selecting the perfect frame for your piece. Our extensive selection features over 1,000 exquisite timber frames, including timeless classics, stunning natural finishes, vintage-inspired ornate designs, bold contemporary colours, and the soft, soothing tones of Hamptons style. Additionally, we pride ourselves on having the largest variety of float frames available.
03/ Choose Your GlassThe final touch to your custom framing is selecting the perfect glazing. Our selection includes 10 options, ranging from premium clear glass to museum glass, ensuring optimal clarity and protection for your artwork. We also offer acrylic alternatives for those who prioritise a light weight and shatter resistant option, available in clear, non-glare, and museum.
04/ Collect Your New FrameNow that you’ve made your selections, all that’s left to do is to Leave your artwork with us, and we'll handle the rest. We frame your artwork with the utmost care, using conservation techniques and we will notify you when your artwork is ready for collection. You will also receive a care package, which includes glass cleaner, a microfibre cloth and picture hanging hooks, so you can hang your new piece.
