Artist - Fran Gass
Australian nature and wildlife photographer, Fran Gass, lives in Ballarat, Victoria. Following her retirement as an educator, Fran is thoroughly committed to pursuing her lifelong passion for photography and likes to explore the natural environment in unique and different ways. She especially enjoys playing with, and experimenting with, the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) genre of photography.
Participation in photographic tours and workshops, along with visiting photographic exhibitions, all help inform Fran’s imagery.
A recent achievement was to be awarded a runner up prize in the 2023 Snap Happy The Photography Show competition. When another photographer and Fran travelled to the Arctic on a photography tour, the outcome was to share a Fringe Program Exhibition in the 2017 Ballarat International Foto Biennale.
